The Handicap Tournament is traditionally The Opening Tournament of the year and is great fun for social and new members to get to meet and play people they may not generally play against, with team players being handicapped to force them to play to the best of their ability to get passed a non-team player who may only need to win 2 points to win a game.
The finalists are often unexpected. The tournament will run as either a straight knockout or round robin depending upon number of entries. Partners for the ladies and men’s doubles and mixed events are drawn randomly so there is no need to find a partner.
Don’t delay, get your entry in on the form in the entrance hall of the club or contact Cath or Paul asap to avoid disappointment as the draw will be made by the end of the month.
The finals will be held on Saturday 26th June, hopefully with spectators allowed by then.
